《我是歌手》是中国首档歌手音乐对决电视节目，也是湖南卫视“领SHOW2013”的开篇之作，第一季集结了齐秦、羽泉、黄绮珊、黄贯中、陈明、尚雯婕、林志炫、辛晓琪、彭佳慧、杨宗纬等乐坛资深唱将、中流砥柱和新生代佼佼者，打造出独一无二的顶级音乐盛宴，随着第一季的播出获得了超强的人气。 从残酷的淘汰赛开始，每期7个歌手同台竞演，由500名现场观众投票决定名次，结合两场最后的统计结果，排名最后的歌手将惨遭淘汰。下一期又会有一位新的歌手补入，而被淘汰的歌手可以参加复活赛，只有一位歌手可以顺利复活并且晋级决赛。每一期严格筛选出500名观众，他们来自不同年代，根据歌手的表演做出投票选择。为了能顺利晋级总决赛，每个竞演歌手都使出浑身解数，从歌曲选择，到音乐编排甚至舞台灯光效果等都精心把控，最后的“歌王”桂冠究竟花落谁家……。Rosanna Arquette informally interviews several contrasting actresses about how they cope with being a woman in the entertainment industry.
