王致和（谷峰 饰）无意得到通灵玩意，许下三个愿望，虽然愿望灵验之极，结果落得家散人亡；风尘女孟薇（陈维英 饰）被情人林坤全（思维 饰）害死，变成水鬼复仇；艳丽女子萧云玉（楚湘云 饰）香消玉殒后，仍不断在人间走动，盗坟贼欲挖开萧云玉坟墓盗取陪葬珠宝，终被萧云玉追杀致死……。Comedy about the proverbial genie who comes out of a bottle (a table lamp in this instance) to serve his new master. The only problem is that instead of helping his master, the genie (Burl Ives) tends to get his master (Tony Randall) into more predicaments than he gets him out of.。
